GREENbilt Project featured in latest issue of ONTARIO HOMEBUILDER Magazine

When builders want to point to the best ways to deploy advanced technologies, it is gratifying when they feature GREENbilt Homes' projects.

So we, at GREENbilt, were pleasantly surprised to open the latest edition of ONTARIO HOMEBUILDER magazine and to see our latest project in North Toronto pictured in an article in the Better Building section.

Our latest Custom Home Build is a model of passive design as it was built with continuous insulation, enveloping the exterior of the house. That, on top of the Blueskin air barrier, is the low hanging fruit of reducing the heating or cooling consumption for an energy efficient home.
Here are 3 items, mentioned in this article, that were incorporated into our new build :

  • Secondary Thermal Storage System
    • We installed polished concrete floors to help with the interior thermal mass storage, which are mainly paid for within structural costs.
  • E/HRV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) reduces the amount of wasted heating and cooling that happens with required fresh air inputs.
    • We installed two systems to help manage different zones more efficiently.
  • LED lighting
    • All ighting in this home is LED lighting. This is the new standard in reducing electricity consumption and residual heat build-up in any building.

GREENbilt Homes Delivers Low-Carbon Footprint Homes. We are committed to being your Green Advisor.
