Passive Buildings Canada and Passive House Canada and have joined forces to bring you a webinar series highlighting Canada’s strengths with a deeper look at how our industry can work together collaboratively to advance our goal of building better buildings for Canada.

This webinar will feature two experts in the field to give their take on the financial ROI of building buildings to the Passive House standard.

Program

Joe Ogilvie

Joe Ogilvie, PMP, LEED AP is the Chair of The OMERS Oxford Leadership Institute in Real Assets and Adjunct Professor in the Masters in Real Estate and Infrastructure at Schulich School of Business. He is the Founding Principal of Archangel Ventures, an innovation advisory practice serving the real estate development and construction sector. Before founding Archangel, Joe was the national director for high-performance buildings at Turner Construction and head of sustainable construction and asset repositioning Services at PCL Construction.

Today, Joe serves as a city-appointed member of the board of Directors of the Toronto & Region Conservation Authority (TRCA), is a board director at Habitat for Humanity GTA, and is a founding member of McKinsey & Co’s Net Zero Built Environment Council. He is also a co-founder of the Black Opportunity Fund and serves as an Advisor to the City of Toronto’s Transform2040 NZE Strategy.

Natalie Leonard

Natalie Leonard, P. Eng. is a consultant and engineer, as well as a founding partner of Passive Design Solutions.

Natalie was the first Certified Passive House Consultant and Certified Passive House Builder in Canada. Her mission is to make sustainable, high-performance homes affordable for everyone. She leads the Passive Design Solutions team with a depth of experience in creating cost-effective, beautiful, and ultra-efficient homes. Natalie brings her engineering background, hands-on design and construction experience, and a practical approach to building.
